Black Star Industries Is The Legacy Of Marcus Garvey And The Creation And Vision Of APSP Chairman Omali Yeshitela
Black Star Industries takes its name from the Black Star Line shipping company that was organized by Marcus Garvey and the UNIA in 1919. Like Garvey’s efforts, Black Star Indus- tries’ intent is to organize independent economic develop- ment for the international African community as part of the struggle for self-determination.
We want to thank the leadership of African People’s Socialist Party Chairman and Uhuru Movement founder Omali Yeshitela who has carried the legacy of Marcus Garvey and the Garvey movement to create Black Star Industries.
Black Star Industries is only part of the Chairman’s vision and 40 years of struggle to build a movement of African people recognizing that all the vast resources of Africa are our birthright. In the process of building economic develop- ment and economic self-reliance, we are preparing to self-govern once again.
